VineIsrael Terms of Service
Last Updated: June 5, 2026
Welcome to VineIsrael, your guide to the wineries of Israel (“VineIsrael”, “we”, “us”, “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the VineIsrael website and any related applications, content, and services (collectively, the “Service”). Please read these Terms carefully — they contain important information about your legal rights and obligations. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility & Responsible Enjoyment of Alcohol
The Service relates to wine and other alcoholic beverages. You must be of legal drinking age in your jurisdiction (in Israel, 18 years or older) to use the Service. By using the Service you confirm that you meet this requirement. VineIsrael does not sell alcohol; it is an informational directory. We encourage responsible, moderate consumption and compliance with all applicable laws.
2. The Service
VineIsrael provides a directory through which wineries and related businesses can be listed, and through which visitors can discover wineries, browse by region, read information, view events and festivals, take our recommendation quiz, and save favourites. Most features are free for individual visitors; certain listing or promotional features for businesses may require a fee. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.
3. Accuracy of Listings & Third-Party Information
Winery details — including locations, opening hours, contact information, kosher status, tours, tastings, and event dates — are compiled from winery-supplied information, public sources, and third-party data, and may change without notice. We make reasonable efforts to keep information accurate but do not warrant that it is complete, current, or error-free. Always confirm details (especially visiting hours and reservations) directly with the winery before travelling.
4. User Accounts
Some features require an account. You agree to provide accurate, complete information and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activity under your account, and you must notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.
5. User Content & Submissions
If you submit content — such as a winery listing, review, comment, image, or enquiry — you confirm you have the right to do so, and you grant VineIsrael a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and use that content for operating and promoting the Service. You are solely responsible for the content you submit, and it must be accurate and lawful.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service in any way that is unlawful, infringes the rights of others, or disrupts its normal operation. Without limitation, you may not scrape or harvest data at scale, submit false or misleading listings, upload malicious code, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its systems.
7. Fees & Payments
Businesses may pay a fee for certain features, such as enhanced listings or advertising. Unless stated otherwise, fees are payable in advance and are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change our fees at any time, with changes applying to future billing periods.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service and its materials — including software, text, graphics, logos, images, and design (the “VineIsrael Content”) — together with all related intellectual property rights, are owned by VineIsrael or its licensors, except for content submitted by users or sourced from third parties, which remains the property of its respective owners. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute VineIsrael Content without permission.
9. Third-Party Links & Services
The Service links to third-party websites (for example, winery websites, ticketing platforms, and mapping services) and integrates third-party tools such as Google Maps. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of these third parties, and your use of them is at your own risk and subject to their terms.
10. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, VineIsrael will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your reliance on information in the directory or from visiting any winery or event listed.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless VineIsrael and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, without notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will indicate changes by updating the “Last Updated” date above and, where appropriate, by additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms and your use of the Service are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and the competent courts of Israel shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
