Business Description

About Tavor Winery

Tavor Winery was founded in 1999 by four winegrowing families from Kfar Tabor in the Galilee. What began as a small cooperative venture has grown into one of the leading wineries in the Israeli wine industry. The winery is situated in a prime Galilean location overlooking the majestic Mount Tabor, and draws its name from this iconic mountain that has shaped the landscape and history of the region for thousands of years.

Tavor Winery is committed to ecological farming as a guiding principle. In 2012, the decision was made to transition all vineyards to ecological management. Since then, every vineyard in the portfolio has been farmed with practices designed to restore the natural balance of the growing environment. Furthermore, the winery works in close collaboration with the Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel. As a result, ecological diversity is actively promoted throughout all of its vineyard sites.

Wines and Vineyards

Tavor Winery manages vineyards across a remarkable geographic range, from the Golan Heights in the north to Mitzpe Ramon in the south. This diversity of growing regions allows the winery to produce wines that express a wide range of terroir characteristics. Moreover, each region contributes its own distinctive qualities of soil, climate, and altitude to the final wines in the portfolio.

The winemaking process at Tavor Winery combines the knowledge passed down through the founding families with modern viticultural techniques. The team harvests only the highest quality grapes and applies meticulous attention throughout production. Consequently, the wines consistently reflect both the diversity of Israeli growing conditions and the winery’s unwavering commitment to quality and environmental responsibility.

Visiting Tavor Winery

The winery is situated in a breathtaking Galilean landscape with panoramic views of Mount Tabor. Visitors can learn about the ecological farming practices and taste wines from vineyards that span the length of Israel. Furthermore, the visitor experience connects guests to the story of four families who built something remarkable together from their shared passion for wine and the land.

For wine enthusiasts who care deeply about sustainability and quality, Tavor Winery offers both in abundance. Therefore, it stands as one of the most progressive and respected wineries in Israel today.
