Bravdo – Karmei Yosef is a boutique estate winery in Moshav Karmei Yosef in the Judean Foothills. It draws its name from Professor Ben Ami Bravdo, one of Israel’s most distinguished viticulture scientists, who spent decades at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem’s Faculty of Agriculture in Rehovot, where his research profoundly shaped the modern Israeli wine industry, so the winery carries a legacy of scientific rigour and deep respect for the vine. The moshav sits in an elevated position above the coastal plain, where Mediterranean breezes and warm summers create favourable ripening, and the terra rossa soils over limestone give excellent drainage, so grapes develop with natural balance, combining ripe fruit and firm structure.

The Wines

The winery focuses on premium varietal wines that reflect the Karmei Yosef terroir, and with red varieties performing especially well here, the portfolio centres on structured, age-worthy reds alongside carefully made whites.
