Business Description

About Natuf Winery

Natuf Winery was founded in 1997 by Meir Akel and Ze’ev Tsinmon in Kfar Truman, near the Wadi Natuf valley in central Israel. It takes its name from the Natuf stream that winds through this archaeologically significant landscape, and operates on the site of a converted stable and milking room, which gives the place a rustic character rooted in its agricultural past. In the Israeli market its wines are sold under the brand name Bentoff.

The Wines

Natuf works mainly in red wine, made with patience and a light hand. Wines are aged in both American and French oak, from a couple of months to as long as two years depending on the wine, then given a further two years in bottle, so at least three years pass between harvest and release. The winery also follows a no-filtration policy, keeping the natural texture and character of the wine, and this unhurried approach lets each bottle show the full depth of its vintage.

Visiting the Winery

Natuf welcomes visitors who value small-scale, artisanal winemaking, with the converted stable in Kfar Truman making a charming, authentic backdrop. Guests can explore the reds and learn about the long ageing that defines the style, while the story of founders Meir Akel and Ze’ev Tsinmon and the nearby Wadi Natuf valley add a personal and scenic dimension to any visit.

Information last updated: July 26, 2026. Please confirm hours and details directly with the winery before visiting.
