Business Description

About Neve Yarak Winery

Neve Yarak Winery was founded in 2015 by Momo Shmilovitz in Moshav Neve Yarak, drawing on more than sixty years of farming history in the settlement, where the Shmilovitz family has worked the land for three generations. That deep tie to the place shapes every decision. The moshav lies in the Yarkon region, on Hamra soil, a reddish, sandy earth that holds rainwater and passes valuable minerals to the vines, and the winery farms in the traditional Baal method, dryland farming that relies entirely on seasonal rainfall.

The Wines

Neve Yarak focuses on three Mediterranean varieties, Carignan, Grenache and Syrah, all well suited to warm, dry summers and the Hamra soil. The team tends the vineyards closely through each season, and the dry-farmed vines push deep roots that give grapes of concentrated, authentic character. Production is small and deliberate, and the commitment to natural farming keeps the wines a true expression of their origin, made with long-term thinking about the land.

Visiting the Winery

Neve Yarak welcomes visitors to the moshav for tastings and the story of the settlement, with the green Yarkon surroundings making a relaxed setting. Momo Shmilovitz brings real warmth and pride to every tasting, and the tale of three generations on the land adds a moving human dimension, a special stop for anyone drawn to heritage, sustainability and authentic Israeli terroir.
