About Odem Mountain Winery

Odem Mountain Winery is a family-owned boutique winery in Moshav Odem, high in the northern Golan Heights, in one of Israel’s most dramatic volcanic landscapes. Its terroir is shaped by basalt rock, cool temperatures and abundant rainfall, which give the wines a distinctive freshness and mineral character. The family’s aim is to make wines that bring joy and connect people to the land, and the winery runs a welcoming visitor centre in the heart of the moshav.

The Wines

The northern Golan is defined by black basalt soils, real elevation and cool summers, making for slow, even ripening that builds complexity and natural acidity, so the wines tend to have good structure, freshness and ageing potential. Intense daytime sun and cool nights preserve the aromatics and build fruit character. Odem Mountain makes a range of reds and whites, and the small family scale means each batch gets individual care and close attention at every stage.

Visiting the Winery

The visitor centre is open for tastings and production tours, with spectacular views over the northern Golan and a warm, personal welcome from the family. Guests learn about the basalt terroir and its influence on every glass, and the journey up to the northern Golan is part of the experience, an essential stop for anyone after Israel’s most dramatic terroir.
