About Nana Wine

Nana Wine is a pioneering boutique winery founded by Eran, known across Israeli wine simply by his nickname, Nana. He began as a viticulturist, managing around 600 dunams of vineyards in the Jerusalem Hills and the Adulam region between 1998 and 2002, before setting his sights on a dream of growing vines in the Negev desert and moving south in 2004. Nana became one of the early champions of the Negev as a serious wine region, working in one of the country’s most challenging and inspiring environments.

The Wines

Eran planted the first vines in 2007, in the Zin River valley near Mitzpe Ramon, and the vineyard now covers about 450 dunams, among the larger estate plantings in the south. The Zin valley offers a terroir shaped by desert conditions, wide day-to-night temperature swings and ancient soils, and the demanding environment makes the vines work harder, giving grapes of concentrated flavour and real character, so the wines express the Negev in every glass, backed by years of viticultural experience across several regions.

Visiting the Winery

Nana invites visitors to discover the wines being made in the Negev, near Mitzpe Ramon and within reach of the dramatic Ramon Crater, so a tasting comes with some of the country’s most striking desert scenery. Eran’s story and his vision for Negev wine add a compelling human dimension, at a winery that helped define a new frontier in Israeli wine.
