Pinto Winery is a pioneering desert winery in Yeruham, in the heart of Israel’s Negev. Founded by the Pinto family - long-time investors in the development of Israel’s periphery through education and tourism - the winery sets out to prove that world-class wine, and real added value, can come from desert agriculture.

The Negev presents extreme growing conditions: around 320 days of sunshine a year and barely 80mm of rainfall, demanding careful irrigation and vineyard management. From this challenging terroir the winery produces an unusually broad range of varieties, including Malbec, Shiraz, Grenache, Mourvèdre-style blends, Roussanne, Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, crafting distinctive, spiced wines that express the desert landscape.
