In 2001, Yoram Cohen fulfilled his dream of establishing a family winery and named it Tania, after his beloved daughter. Drawing inspiration from the Talmud, where the name Tanya is referenced in the teachings of Rabbi Ishmael, Cohen embraced the profound wisdom and spiritual significance embedded in his winery’s name.

At Tania Winery, family is at the core of everything they do. Each wine series proudly bears the names of Cohen’s children: Elia, Hillel, Anush, and Hebrew. Nestled in the scenic settlement of Ofra, located in the Eretz Binyamin region north of Jerusalem, Tania Winery enjoys an elevated position of approximately 900 meters above sea level. Ofra, named after the biblical city within the territory of the tribe of Benjamin, holds a rich historical significance.
