About Harashim Winery

Harashim Winery stands on Mount Shazor in the Upper Galilee, at 860 metres above sea level. The founding family planted their first vineyard here in 1987, making them among the earliest pioneers of high-altitude viticulture in the region. The mountain brings generous rainfall, cool temperatures and clean air, conditions that set Harashim’s wines apart from those made in the warmer valleys below. The founders are natives of Mount Shazor who grew up among its wild, forested landscape, and that intimate familiarity shaped a deep commitment to land conservation and biodiversity, expressed today through biodynamic farming that treats the vineyard as a living ecosystem.

The Wines

The guiding belief at Harashim is that exceptional wine begins with exceptional soil, so no synthetic chemicals or pesticides enter the vineyard; instead the team feeds the soil and vines with compost, cover crops and natural preparations season after season. The altitude and rainfall of Mount Shazor create growing conditions unlike any other winery in Israel, and the cool nights and long season let the grapes ripen slowly, developing concentrated flavours and natural balance, while the mountain’s wild herbs, trees and fauna contribute to the wines’ distinctive sensory character.
