About Harashim Winery

Harashim Winery is located on Mount Shazor in the Upper Galilee, at an elevation of 860 meters above sea level. The founding family planted their first vineyard here in 1987, making them among the earliest pioneers of high-altitude viticulture in this region. The mountain setting brings exceptional rainfall, cool temperatures, and clean air, conditions that set Harashim wines apart from those produced in the warmer valleys below.

The founders are natives of Mount Shazor and grew up surrounded by its wild, forested landscape. This intimate familiarity with the mountain shaped their deep commitment to land conservation and biodiversity. Furthermore, the winery practices biodynamic agriculture, a holistic approach that treats the vineyard as a living ecosystem rather than a production unit. As a result, every farming decision is guided by a profound respect for the natural balance of the land.

Wines and Vineyards

The core philosophy at Harashim Winery is that exceptional wine begins with exceptional soil. The team believes that a living, biologically active soil produces grapes of greater depth and complexity. Consequently, no synthetic chemicals or pesticides enter the vineyard. Instead, the winery uses compost, cover crops, and natural preparations to nurture the soil and the vines season after season.

The high altitude and rainfall of Mount Shazor create growing conditions unlike any other winery in Israel. Moreover, the cool nights and long growing season allow grapes to ripen gradually, developing concentrated flavors and natural balance. In addition, the biodiversity of the mountain, its wild herbs, trees, and fauna, contributes to the unique sensory character that defines Harashim wines.

Visiting Harashim Winery

A visit to Harashim Winery is an immersion in the wild beauty of the Galilee highlands. The mountain landscape, the biodynamic vineyards, and the philosophy behind the wines all contribute to an experience that is genuinely unlike any other winery in Israel. Therefore, guests leave with a deeper appreciation for what wine can express when it truly comes from the living land.

For wine enthusiasts who care about biodynamics, terroir, and the relationship between wine and nature, Harashim Winery is an essential and inspiring destination in the Upper Galilee.
