Business Description

About Julia Winery

Julia Winery is a family boutique in the Western Galilee, founded by father and son George and Anan Araf. Their first vineyard went in in 2009, on a strikingly beautiful site set among ancient olive trees and natural oak groves, tying the vines to the region’s long agricultural history. The vineyard is dry-farmed in the traditional Baal method, relying entirely on rainfall with no irrigation; the vines push deep roots in search of water and work harder for it, which concentrates the fruit and gives the wines a clear sense of the Western Galilee’s soils and rainfall.

The Wines

The vines grow on sloping ground with good drainage and sun, while the surrounding oaks and olives temper the season’s heat and support the health of the soil. The winery makes both reds and whites, each shaped to reflect the local terroir, and the Araf family works the vineyard and cellar themselves, so quality stays the focus across a deliberately small range.

Visiting the Winery

Julia welcomes visitors for tastings among the olive trees and oak groves, a setting as striking to look at as the wines are to drink, with the story of a father and son building it together adding a personal note to every visit.

Information last updated: July 26, 2026. Please confirm hours and details directly with the winery before visiting.
