Business Description

About Kadita Winery

Kadita Winery sits on the southern slope of Mount Kattar in the Upper Galilee, high enough for cool temperatures and a long, even growing season. The farm was established by a pioneering family who arrived in this remote corner of the Galilee in the early 1980s and chose the rocky hillside for its beauty and solitude, aiming to build a self-sufficient life close to the land. Over the years they turned the bare slope into a thriving organic farm, planting olives, vines, fig trees and herb gardens and keeping goats and chickens.

The Wines

The vineyards grow on mountain terraces at altitude, where a cool climate, high rainfall and rocky basalt soils give wines with a distinct mountain freshness that is hard to find in the warmer regions below. Farming is organic and production is small, so each bottle carries the care of a family-run hillside farm; the wine is as much a product of the life lived here as of the vineyard.

Visiting the Winery

Kadita is a working organic mountain farm as much as a winery, with five cabins for guests who want to stay among the Upper Galilee hills. Between the landscape, the farm and the wines, it is one of Israel’s most distinctive countryside retreats.

Information last updated: July 26, 2026. Please confirm hours and details directly with the winery before visiting.
