About Lotem Winery

Lotem is a certified organic boutique winery in the Upper Galilee, near Mount Miron. Yaniv Kimchi founded it in 2002 in the Ma’ale Tzaviya settlement, intent from the start on building a winery entirely on organic principles, which places Lotem among the very few certified organic wineries in Israel. In 2009 it relocated to its current Upper Galilee home, moving closer to some of the finest organic vineyard land in the country.

The Wines

Lotem’s vineyards are farmed entirely to organic principles, with no synthetic pesticides or fertilisers at any stage, and the cool, humid microclimate near Mount Miron is well suited to organic viticulture. The same philosophy of minimal intervention carries into the cellar, so the wines express the natural character of the organic fruit and the distinctive terroir of the region. Recognised for their purity, freshness and authentic connection to the land, they show what the pairing of organic farming and skilled winemaking can achieve.

Visiting the Winery

Lotem welcomes guests who share a passion for organic farming and sustainable wine, in a beautiful and serene setting near Mount Miron. Visitors learn about the organic viticulture programme and the philosophy of founder Yaniv Kimchi, and the winery’s story, from its founding in 2002 to its present home, gives every visit context.
