About Lueria Winery

Lueria sits in the Upper Galilee, on the western slopes at the base of Mount Miron. It was established by Yosef Saida, a member of a long line of farmers with deep roots in the land. The estate vineyard, Kerem Yosef, spans roughly 180 dunams and enjoys an exceptional mix of soils, with basalt, terra rossa and chalk layers found within a single plot, an unusually complex terroir that helps the vines produce grapes of outstanding quality and distinctive character.

The Wines

Kerem Yosef enjoys the cool mountain climate of Mount Miron, one of Israel’s highest peaks, where the altitude brings cool nights that preserve natural acidity and stretch the ripening season for greater complexity. The well-drained soils let the vines send deep roots into the mineral-rich layers below, while organic fertilisation from the estate’s own compost and careful irrigation keep the vines in good condition through the season. The wines reflect both the diversity of the terroir and Yosef Saida’s dedicated farming, and the coexistence of basalt, terra rossa and chalk in one plot is extremely rare in Israel.
