Business Description

About Lueria Winery

Lueria Winery is nestled in the Upper Galilee, on the western slopes at the base of Mount Miron. The winery was established by Yosef Saida, a member of a long line of farmers with deep roots in the land. The estate vineyard, known as Kerem Yosef, spans approximately 180 dunams and benefits from an exceptional combination of soil types. Basalt, terra rossa, and chalk layers are found within a single plot, creating a uniquely complex terroir for the vines. Consequently, the vineyards of Lueria Winery produce grapes of outstanding quality and highly distinctive character.

Wines and Vineyards of Lueria Winery

The Kerem Yosef vineyard enjoys the cool mountain climate of Mount Miron, one of the highest peaks in Israel. The high altitude ensures that the vines experience cool nights, which preserve natural acidity and extend the ripening season for maximum complexity. Furthermore, the well-drained soils of the estate allow the vines to develop deep root systems that access the mineral-rich layers below. Organic fertilization through self-produced compost is a key part of the viticulture program at Lueria Winery. Additionally, advanced irrigation techniques are applied to ensure the vines remain in optimal condition throughout the growing season. As a result, the wines of Lueria Winery reflect both the diversity of the terroir and the dedicated farming approach of Yosef Saida. The unique combination of basalt, terra rossa, and chalk within a single vineyard plot is extremely rare in the Israeli wine landscape.

Visiting Lueria Winery

Lueria Winery invites guests to discover the exceptional wines of the Upper Galilee. The setting at the base of Mount Miron provides a breathtaking backdrop for wine tasting. Visitors can learn about the unique terroir of the Kerem Yosef vineyard and the farming traditions passed down through the Saida family. Moreover, the use of organic compost and sustainable vineyard practices at Lueria Winery gives the wines a genuine connection to the land. The experience of tasting wines from a singular terroir where basalt, terra rossa, and chalk coexist in one plot is something very few Israeli wineries can offer. Therefore, a visit to Lueria Winery is a genuine discovery of the Upper Galilee and its remarkable wine potential.
