Business Description

About Na’aman Winery

Na’aman Winery was established in 2004 by Rami and Bettina Na’aman in the village of Ramot Naftali in the Upper Galilee. The couple relocated from Ramat HaSharon in 2001 to start a new life on the land, and the winery was the natural extension of that commitment. Today, Na’aman Winery produces approximately 10,000 bottles per year from this picturesque Upper Galilee setting.

The winery is housed in a remarkable underground cellar built from rough plaster and local Galilee stone, giving it the atmosphere of an ancient cave. In addition, the compound includes an art studio managed by Bettina, a painter, designer, and art teacher. Therefore, art and wine share the same space at Na’aman Winery, and both express the same creative spirit.

Wines and Upper Galilee Terroir

Rami Na’aman approaches winemaking with the same passion he brings to his work as a film director and screenwriter. He trained at the Soreq Winery and earned the title of Cellar Master from Tel Hai College. Furthermore, his background in storytelling informs his attention to detail and his goal of making wines that truly speak of their origin. He believes that Bordeaux varieties grown in Ramot Naftali produce wines of exceptional quality and depth.

The vineyards at Ramot Naftali benefit from the ideal ripening conditions of the Upper Galilee. The altitude, cool nights, and clean mountain air allow the Bordeaux varieties to ripen slowly and develop complex flavors. As a result, the Na’aman wines reflect the distinct identity of this specific corner of the Galilee with remarkable clarity.

Visiting Na’aman Winery

Visitors to Na’aman Winery step into a world where art and wine are inseparable. The underground cellar, the art studio, and the natural stone architecture create an atmosphere unlike any other winery in Israel. Moreover, both Rami and Bettina welcome guests personally, sharing the stories behind the wines and the art with equal warmth and enthusiasm.

Na’aman Winery is a deeply personal expression of two creative lives devoted to the Upper Galilee. Consequently, every bottle tells a story about the land, the family, and the vision that brought them here. For wine lovers who value character and authenticity above all, Na’aman Winery is an unforgettable destination.
