Business Description

About Netofa Winery

Netofa Winery was established in 2006 at the foot of Mount Tabor in the heart of the Lower Galilee. The winery was founded with a clear ambition: to produce wines of elegance and exceptional quality that express the unique character of this Mediterranean terroir. Furthermore, the founders brought a deep love for the land, a commitment to creativity, and an international winemaking perspective to the project from the very beginning.

Two key winemakers shape the vision of Netofa Winery. Pierre Miodobnik brings extensive experience gained in France, Spain, and Portugal, giving the winery a broad technical and cultural foundation. Yitzchak Tor contributes an intimate knowledge of Israeli viticulture and the specific qualities of the local terroir. Together, they lead a team united by a shared passion for producing authentic, expressive Israeli wines.

Wines and Vineyards

The vineyards at Netofa Winery grow a remarkable diversity of grape varieties suited to the warm, sun-rich climate of the Lower Galilee. These include Syrah, Mourvedre, Grenache, Tempranillo, Touriga Nacional, Chenin Blanc, and Roussanne. This broad range of Mediterranean and Iberian varieties reflects the founders’ conviction that the Lower Galilee terroir is uniquely capable of producing wines of genuine international character. As a result, the portfolio offers something for every palate and occasion.

The Mount Tabor setting provides a special microclimate for the vineyards. The mountain creates a natural barrier that moderates temperatures and influences humidity levels. Moreover, the basalt and limestone soils of this region add mineral depth to the wines. In addition, the team employs careful canopy management and selective harvesting to maximize the quality of each variety.

Visiting Netofa Winery

Netofa Winery extends a warm and generous welcome to all wine enthusiasts. The winery is known for its family-like hospitality, where guests are welcomed as friends and treated to an immersive tasting experience. Consequently, a visit here feels as much like a gathering as it does a formal wine tour.

For anyone curious about the diversity of Israeli wine and the potential of the Lower Galilee, Netofa Winery is an essential and delightful destination. Therefore, it stands as a compelling example of what passion, expertise, and exceptional terroir can achieve together.
