About Vortman Winery

Vortman is an organic boutique winery founded in 2003 in Haifa, committed from the start to making fine wine using only organic grapes from the Carmel region. That focus reflects a firm belief that the best wines come from land treated with genuine care. The winery oversees the whole process from vineyard to bottle: the vineyards are farmed to certified organic standards, and irrigation is kept to a minimum so the vines grow in balance with the natural vegetation of the Carmel hillsides, a low-intervention approach that sits at the heart of the Vortman philosophy.

The Wines

Vortman ferments with wild yeasts in small tanks, preserving the natural complexity of the grapes and avoiding the uniformity that commercial yeasts can bring. The vineyard soils are enriched with compost made from grape skins, closing a natural cycle that feeds back into future vintages. Traditional methods are paired with careful scientific monitoring, so the wines balance authenticity with precision, and all of them are vegan-friendly, in keeping with the winery’s clean, natural production at every stage.
