About Dalton Winery

Dalton Winery sits in the village of Dalton in the Upper Galilee, at around 900 metres near Safed. The height, cool climate and rich basalt soils of this mountain country make for wines of freshness, structure and real character. The winery is led by owner Alex Haroni, winemaker Guy Eshel and viticulturist Nahum Neve, who between them oversee everything from vineyard to bottle, with input from international wine consultants that pairs local know-how with a wider perspective.

The Wines

Dalton farms vineyards across the Galilee, managed with sustainable practices and close attention. It makes four distinct series, each reflecting a different side of the Galilee terroir and suited to different occasions, from easygoing everyday wines to premium ageworthy bottles. All are kosher, made under full rabbinic supervision, and enjoyed by a wide community of drinkers in Israel and abroad.

Visiting the Winery

Dalton welcomes visitors for tours and tastings, with spectacular views in every direction from the mountain village and an explanation of the thinking behind each series. It is one of the most visited wineries in the Upper Galilee and a cornerstone of wine tourism in the north.
