Amram’s Winery is a family estate winery founded in 2001 on Moshav Ramot Naftali, high in the Upper Galilee near the Lebanese border. It was established by grape grower Amram Azulai together with his son Ohad, and the family farms its own vineyards in the nearby Kadesh Valley (Emek Kadesh).

The estate grows Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Shiraz and Sangiovese, producing characterful wines that reflect the high-altitude terroir of Ramot Naftali — dramatic limestone and basalt highlands, cool mountain air, generous winter rainfall and a wide day-to-night temperature range. From early vintages of around 2,800 bottles, production has grown to roughly 6,000 bottles a year.

Moshav Ramot Naftali has become a notable cluster of boutique wineries, and a visit to Amram’s can be combined with neighbouring estates along a rewarding northern Galilee wine route. For visiting arrangements and current releases, contact the winery directly.
