About Gush Etzion Winery

Gush Etzion Winery was founded in 1990 by Shraga, and the story began with a raspberry bush in the family garden in the Judean Mountains. Each year the bush produced an abundance of fruit, and that abundance drew Shraga into the craft of winemaking, sparking a passion for wine that would shape the years ahead. From these humble beginnings the winery grew into a recognised boutique producer, helped by a Judean Mountains location whose limestone soils and cool mountain climate are ideal for viticulture.
