About Katlav Winery

Katlav is a boutique winery founded in 1998 by Yossef Yttach in Nes Harim, in the heart of the Judean Hills. From its earliest days it has aimed at high-quality wine from one of Israel’s most celebrated regions, and the Judean Hills give it an ideal environment: limestone soils, cool mountain elevations and a Mediterranean climate that pairs warm days with refreshing nights. Over the years Katlav has become a respected name in the Israeli boutique scene, reflecting the vision and dedication of its founder.

The Wines

Katlav’s vineyards draw on the terroir of the Judean Hills, land that has supported viticulture for thousands of years. The cool mountain climate of Nes Harim slows ripening and lets the fruit build complexity and aromatic depth, and the winemaking sets out to express that local character in every bottle.
