Red Sea Winery was founded in 2002 in the Arava desert near Eilat, at the southern tip of the country — one of the most extreme and unlikely wine-growing environments anywhere. The winery describes itself as ‘a blooming diamond in the heart of an arid desert’, set against dramatic desert mountain views.

The winery works with Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Chardonnay, made from quality grapes with extended fermentation and ageing in new oak barrels. The desert conditions — intense sun, dry air and large diurnal temperature shifts — shape wines of real concentration.

Visitors can tour the vineyards, enjoy tastings and dine from a curated menu in a Tuscan-style countryside atmosphere, with Friday Shabbat receptions, themed evenings and special events. For visiting arrangements and current releases, contact the winery directly.
