Business Description

About SeaHorse Winery

SeaHorse is an independent boutique winery in Moshav Bar Giora, in the Jerusalem Mountains, at around 700 metres above sea level. A scenic road climbs up through the hills to reach it, opening onto sweeping views of the coastal plain below, so the setting is as striking as the wine. The organic vineyard was planted in 2000, giving the winery more than two decades of experience in this mountain terroir.

The Wines

The vineyard was established on organic lines drawn from leading producers abroad, and the winery keeps to organic, self-produced methods at every stage. The Jerusalem Mountains suit that approach, with cool elevation and clean air, and the winemaking leans on minimal intervention and respect for the fruit. At 700 metres the nights stay cool, holding acidity and building aromatic complexity, so the wines carry the distinctive freshness of the mountains along with real environmental integrity.

Visiting the Winery

SeaHorse welcomes guests to Moshav Bar Giora, with that memorable drive and its views of the plain below. Visitors can taste the organic wines and hear about the minimal-intervention philosophy, in a peaceful, elevated setting shaped by more than twenty years of careful, chemical-free farming.

Information last updated: July 26, 2026. Please confirm hours and details directly with the winery before visiting.
