Domaine Ventura is a boutique kosher winery established in 2006 by David Ventura, located in the community of Ofra in the Binyamin region north of Jerusalem. The Ventura family, with roots in France, brings a distinctly Old World sensibility to their Israeli winemaking venture, combining traditional Bordeaux methods with the unique terroir of the Judean highlands. Since its founding, Domaine Ventura has built a loyal following among those who appreciate wines of character and artisan production values.

Wines and Vineyards of Domaine Ventura

Ofra sits at an elevation of approximately 800 metres above sea level in the Binyamin highlands, where the altitude and limestone-rich soils create excellent growing conditions for noble Bordeaux varieties. The high elevation brings cool nights that preserve natural acidity and aromatic freshness in the grapes, while warm, sun-drenched days ensure full phenolic ripeness. The winery sources its fruit from carefully tended vineyards in the region, with David Ventura himself overseeing viticulture to maintain the quality standards that have become the hallmark of the domaine.

Domaine Ventura produces a small and focused range of Bordeaux-inspired wines, led by Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, often blended with Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot in the classic tradition of the Médoc. Ageing in French oak barrels adds structure and complexity while allowing the unique character of the high-altitude Binyamin terroir to express itself. All wines are produced under strict kosher supervision, and the combination of French heritage and Israeli terroir gives Domaine Ventura its distinctive and appealing identity in the local wine landscape.
