Business Description

About Har Bracha Winery

Har Bracha Winery is situated on the slopes of Mount Bracha, part of the Mount Gerizim massif in the Samaria region. Founder Nir Levi chose this location for its remarkable combination of biblical landscape and Mediterranean character. From the mountain’s upper terraces, the view stretches east to the Jordan Valley and the Gilead Mountains, and west toward the Mediterranean Sea. Therefore, this elevation is not just a geographic feature — it is a defining element of the terroir.

The winery was established in 2007, following growing demand for grapes from the Levi family vineyards. The decision to build a winery reflected a long-term commitment to the land and to the agricultural heritage of Samaria. Furthermore, every member of the Levi family participates in vineyard management and winemaking, making Har Bracha a genuinely family-run enterprise from vine to bottle.

Wines and Vineyards

Har Bracha Winery produces close to 50,000 bottles per year, all crafted under direct family supervision. The vineyards grow in Nachalat Ephraim, the ancestral heartland of the central mountain region. Here, warm days and cold nights create ideal ripening conditions for the grapes. As a result, the wines develop with natural sweetness and firm acidity in equal measure.

The winemaking team focuses on expressing the unique terroir of these elevated Samarian vineyards. The altitude and the quality of the mountain air contribute to a distinctive fruit profile. In addition, the limestone soils of Mount Bracha add minerality to the wines. Consequently, Har Bracha has earned a reputation for producing wines that genuinely reflect their place of origin.

Visiting Har Bracha Winery

The winery welcomes visitors to experience the panoramic beauty of the Mount Gerizim area. Tours and tastings provide an opportunity to learn about the winery’s history and the unique terroir of Samaria. Moreover, the sweeping landscape itself makes a visit to Har Bracha memorable long after the last glass is finished.

Har Bracha Winery represents the revival of viticulture in the hills of Samaria. For wine enthusiasts curious about wines from this ancient and storied region, a visit here is both inspiring and genuinely illuminating.
